Exercising with Your Dog
The beach is a wonderful place to enjoy time with your companion. Make sure you bring a dog bowl and a supply of drinking water. Make sure both you and your dog are in shape before undertaking any vigorous activities. If you're doing lots of running, keep an eye out for signs of heat exhaustion, such as excessive panting, salivation, vomiting or staggering. oh, and don't forget the weather. Taking your dog out for a workout on a hot or humid day could lead to heat stroke. If your pet gets severely overheated, immediately carry it to a shady spot, allow it to drink small amounts of water and hose them down if possible and consult your veterinarian. Keep your pets licensed and on a leash where required, and don't forget, "scoop the poop". Let's keep our furry friends healthy and happy!
